Yikes!

Approximately 8 weeks ago, I joined the Biggest Loser challenge at work. We had to pay $25 to be in the competition. There are 18 people in it and the top 2 people get the prize money ($338 and $112 respectively).

Final weigh-in was to be on Monday the 22nd. Perfect for me as I work out hard on Sundays when we go to the gym. Well today, it turns out the 2nd place person won't be at work on Monday. THEY MOVED THE FINAL WEIGH IN TO TOMORROW MORNING!!! YIKES!

I'm so not ready. I was in 4th place at the end of week 7. I needed to lose approximately 3 pounds to be in contention for 2nd place. I don't think I did it. And now I'll not know for sure if I would've made it had I had the weekend to work out like planned.

I did work out at the gym after work today. I ran 6.1 miles in 70 minutes. I know it isn't healthy for me to do this, but I skipped dinner and will be skipping breakfast and go for a run before work (and the weigh in) in the morning. I am allowing myself to drink plenty of fluids, but no food until after the weigh in. I just figure doing this for one day won't hurt me too much. I know if I were to keep skipping meals, then that is when it becomes unhealthy.

Either way, I should be proud of my journey. At the end of week 7, I had lost a total of 19 pounds. I still have a long way to go, but 19 pounds isn't anything to scoff at.
